The poet William Stafford set himself the task of writing a poem a day. When someone asked him what he would do when his poem-of-the-day wasn't very good, he replied "I simply lower my standards." In order to increase output, the bar here is set at a low level - the point of this is to have some fun with current events and politics. I welcome contributions and comments. Purge the Democrats!


Republican Florida Governor Rick Scott is attempting to purge voter rolls of “non-citizens”, but the list he has assembled includes many US citizens, particularly among Democratic or Hispanic voters.  Letters have been sent to those on the list informing them that they will be unable to vote in upcoming elections unless they appeal within 30 days.

Non-citizen voters has sought
But one of his goals
Is to clean voter rolls
Of Democrat voters a lot.
